Are you struggling with Estrogen Dominance? If so, you are not alone. In fact, it’s one of the most common issues I see with the women we work with. Read on to learn what to eat for Estrogen Dominance.
Here are some symptoms of Estrogen Dominance:
- Irregular periods
- Heavy periods
- Weight gain, especially in mid-section, hips, and thighs
- Depression, irritability, anxiety, fatigue
- Low libido (low sex drive)
- Fibroids or endometriosis
A lot of women who come to me for nutrition and hormonal reset coaching struggle with these symptoms. It’s actually common (but not normal) when women enter their 30s and 40s. It’s also a common reason for fat loss resistance.
After running a comprehensive hormonal DUTCH Test, we then begin a ‘food as medicine’ style protocol to help them rebalance their hormones in the easiest, most natural way possible.

Here’s a quick ‘cheat sheet’ you can use to help keep your estrogen in check and maintain hormonal balance.
- Pick a protein such as skinless chicken breast, lean beef, or grilled fish
- Choose a soluble fiber like beans, oats, or lentils

- Use healthy fats like avocado slices or a drizzle of EVOO
